If you are registered with a pet insurance company, it is very likely an emergency consultation would be covered. Although, in order to be sure, please check your policy or contact your insurance company if you have any doubt.

In rare occurrences, some pets require full continuous monitoring in an Intensive Care Unit. In that case, Veteris will ensure that your pet is stable enough to be transported to our 24/7 hospital.

In human medicine, stabilising before stressful transportation is known to increase the rate of survival tremendously. Stabilisation is therefore essential, and our Veteris Emergency Veterinary Surgeon will help your pet with pain management, sedation, shock therapy before informing you about the prognosis and the potential necessity for transport in the best conditions.

The home consultation's full report will be immediately forwarded to the ICU that will receive your pet.

We cover every locations within the M25 in Greater London and cover All the southern area of Scotland going from Edinburgh to Glasgow, Loch Lomond to Stirling and as far as Dundee, Perth, St-Andrews etc. In doubt, don't hesitate to call to see if we cover your area!

Depending on the nature of the required surgery, our Veterinary Surgeon will be equipped to perform it in your home. If you have any doubts about our capacity to help, please just call us. Our Registered Veterinary Nurses will be able to advise you wether you need to go to our 24/7 hospital or if we can assist you directly in the comfort of your home.

Our Veterinary Surgeon are equipped with a card reader that accepts American Express.

For every emergency consultations, a RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon is sent to your home. We do not provide nurses consultations. If you have any doubt please call us, our Registered Veterinary Nurses will be able to assist you.

To fill your insurance claim, the company might ask you for Veteris' postcode. You can either use N10 3UG or N19 4RU. The latter is supposed to be the correct one but some insurance company haven't updated our details on their system yet.

We know how important itemised invoice are for insured pet. You should receive an itemised invoice and a report in up to 24h after the consultation.

Veteris is a 24/7 emergency-only service and does not provide preventive health checks and vaccines. However, thereous mobile practices in London would be delighted to help you with those depending on your area!

Our trusted crematorium Silvermere Heaven offers the opportunity to see your beloved pet one last time and attend the cremation.

Important to know:
- Attending the crematorium comes with a fee to be discussed directly with the crematorium that was not included in our invoice.

- You need to notify us as soon as possible after the consultation, ideally during the consultation, so that we can organise your attendance.

- Unfortunately, once the pet has left our cold chamber, we can try contacting the crematorium immediately, but your pet might have been cremated already... For this reason, it is paramount that you let us know at an early stage about your wishes.

After the end-of-life consultation, your beloved pet's ashes will be returned directly to your doorstep.

The delay is between 10 days to 3 weeks.

If the ashes were to take longer for reasons beyond our control, we apologise in advance for the inconvenience. Please know we are trying to have the ashes back with you as soon as possible.

There are three ways to get your pet's ashes back:

1. The traditional way, and the one we will always organise as our primary service, is via DPD directly to your doorstep.

2. If you wish, you can directly obtain your ashes from our trusted crematorium Silvermere Heaven; please let us know that you want to proceed that way, and we will let the crematorium know before depositing them back at our office.

3. If you'd prefer, you can also obtain your pet's ashes at our office at 19-23 Wedmore Street N19 4RU, but please be aware that our office is not staffed every day. So contact us directly, and we will do our best to accommodate you and organise a pick-up with our office manager.

The hospital entrance is conveniently accessible from the street. While there is a small step at the entrance to the practice, a portable ramp is available to ensure ease of access. Inside, the reception area and consultation rooms are fully accessible. However, please note that step-free access to the bathroom facilities is not currently available.
