Als u bent ingeschreven bij een huisdierenverzekering, is de kans groot dat een spoedconsult wordt gedekt. Maar controleer voor de zekerheid uw polis of neem bij twijfel contact op met uw verzekeringsmaatschappij.

In zeldzame gevallen vereisen sommige huisdieren volledige continue monitoring op een intensive care-afdeling. In dat geval zorgt Veteris ervoor dat uw huisdier stabiel genoeg is om vervoerd te worden naar ons 24/7 ziekenhuis. In de menselijke geneeskunde is het bekend dat stabilisatie vóór stressvol transport de overlevingskans enorm verhoogt. Stabilisatie is daarom essentieel, en onze Veteris Emergency Veterinary Surgeon zal uw huisdier helpen met pijnbestrijding, sedatie, shocktherapie voordat hij u informeert over de prognose en de mogelijke noodzaak voor transport in de beste omstandigheden. Het volledige rapport van het thuisconsult wordt direct doorgestuurd naar de IC waar uw huisdier wordt opgevangen.

We dekken heel Vlaams-Brabant, Waals-Brabant, Antwerpen en Oost-Vlaanderen! Afhankelijk van waar onze dierenartsen zich bevinden of als u zich buiten ons gebied bevindt, kunt u gerust bellen, misschien kunnen we u helpen!

Afhankelijk van de aard van de benodigde ingreep, zal onze dierenarts worden uitgerust om deze bij u thuis uit te voeren. Als u twijfelt of wij u kunnen helpen, bel ons dan gerust. Onze geregistreerde veterinaire verpleegkundigen kunnen u adviseren of u naar ons 24/7 ziekenhuis moet of dat we u rechtstreeks bij u thuis kunnen helpen.

Onze dierenartsen zijn uitgerust met een kaartlezer die American Express accepteert.

Voor elk spoedconsult krijgt u een RCVS-geregistreerde Dierenarts thuisgestuurd. Wij geven geen verpleegkundige consulten. Bij twijfel kunt u ons bellen, onze gediplomeerde veterinaire verpleegkundigen kunnen u helpen.

To fill your insurance claim, the company might ask you for Veteris' postcode. You can either use N10 3UG or N19 4RU. The latter is supposed to be the correct one but some insurance company haven't updated our details on their system yet.

We know how important itemised invoice are for insured pet. You should receive an itemised invoice and a report in up to 24h after the consultation.

Veteris is a 24/7 emergency-only service and does not provide preventive health checks and vaccines. There are numerous mobile practices in London that would be delighted to help you with those depending on your area!

Our trusted crematorium Silvermere Heaven offers the opportunity to see your beloved pet one last time and attend the cremation.

Important to know:
- Attending the crematorium comes with a fee to be discussed directly with the crematorium that was not included in our invoice.

- You need to notify us as soon as possible after the consultation, ideally during the consultation in order for us to organise your attendance.

- Unfortunately, once the pet has left our cold chamber, we can try contacting the crematorium right away but your pet might have been cremated already... For this reason, it is paramount that you let us know at an early stage about your wishes.

After the end-of-life consultation, your beloved pet's ashes will be sent back directly to your doorstep.

The delay is between 10 days to 3 weeks.

If the ashes were to take longer for reasons beyond our control, we apologise in advance for the inconvenience, but please know we are trying our best to have the ashes back with you as soon as possible.

There are three ways to get your pet's ashes back:

1. The traditional way, and the one we will always organise as our primary service, is via DPD directly to your doorstep.

2. If you wish, you can directly obtain your ashes from our trusted crematorium Silvermere Heaven; please let us know that you want to proceed that way, and we will let the crematorium know before depositing them back at our office.

3. If you'd prefer, you can also obtain your pet's ashes at our office at 19-23 Wedmore Street N19 4RU, but please be aware that our office is not staffed every day. So contact us directly, and we will do our best to accommodate you and organise a pick-up with our office manager.

The hospital entrance is conveniently accessible from the street. While there is a small step at the entrance to the practice, a portable ramp is available to ensure ease of access. Inside, the reception area and consultation rooms are fully accessible. However, please note that step-free access to the bathroom facilities is not currently available.
