Role Overview:
We seek an enthusiastic, approachable, process-obsessed Operations Manager to join our team. This non-clinical role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our three business units: The Triage Team, Veteris-Mobile, and Veteris-Shoreditch 24/7 Urgent Care. Your mission is to enhance the efficiency of these units in order to deliver top-notch care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Join the current Operation Manager to oversee a team of clinical and non clinical staff member (Veteris Mobile and Veteris Shoreditch) based in London.
- Ensure seamless operations to enhance efficiency and patient care.
- Manage flexible rosters and coordinate rota submission from different teams
- Support and oversee the monthly payroll submission
- Monitor time management & night staff commission.
- Handle recruitment, conduct interviews, and source candidates for clinical and non-clinical roles.
- Conduct one-to-one performance / mental health reviews with Veteris Mobile and Veteris Shoreditch Teams. (frequency to determine)
- Participation in the integration of new business units.
Interdepartmental Communication:
- Serve as the interface between founders and Veteris Mobile and Veteris Shoreditch teams.
- Oversee account consolidation and liaise with the Triage team to address outstanding debts.
- Liaise with the inventory/stock manager and oversee maintenance tasks for stock, equipment, buildings and vehicles for Veteris-Mobile and Veteris-Shorectich.
- Handle customer complaints in conjunction with the clinical team at the group level.
- Seek opportunities for efficiency improvements and synergies between business units.
- Create or enhance documentation to enable each business unit to operate independently 24/7.
- Gradually help staff each business unit to operate independently 24/7.
- Lead on identifying, recording and managing non-clinical risks.
Relationship Building:
- Maintain strong and friendly relationships with referring practices.
- Collaborate closely with founders.
- As part of the Senior Leadership Team, provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and attend relevant meetings
Candidate Profile and Requirements :
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail.
- Possess excellent communication skills and actively seek feedback from clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Be confident in making balanced decisions under pressure and prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and importance.
Requirements:
- Experience in the pet care industry as a veterinary surgeon is required.
- The candidate might be a former veterinary surgeon wishing to leave clinical work. Emergency and critical care background could prove helpful.
- Open-mindedness to embrace our unique approach, combining mobile and brick-and-mortar emergency care.
- Based in London.
- Sound IT knowledge and experience in using different programmes
- Full clean driving licence

Pay: £43,575.00-£51,707.00 per year
