Phone Triage Team
Full time | Remote | Posted November 08, 2024
Job Description:
About Us
As you can see from our website, we are an energetic veterinary company serving Greater London’s pets and pet owners in their time of need.
To do so as efficiently as possible, we have our mobile vet and hospital teams supported by a team of RVNs working remotely and coordinating their activity, acting as flawless intermediaries between them and our clients.
Veteris is a very young company, founded in 2020, therefore there’s plenty of room for innovative people with exciting ideas and further diversification and growth opportunities in the future.
About You
To fit the role requirements we’d like you to be fully qualified, registered with the RCVS and have at leas 2 years of experience in practice. ECC experience and qualifications are a plus, but not a must, phone triage is somewhat different from hands-on triage.
Since you’d be working from your home, you need to have a good PC or laptop capable of running the software we use and a reliable internet connection (broadband).
Related to the above, you also need to be at home in the digital world, able to quickly learn how to use new software and exploit its functionality to the maximum.
Last, but absolutely not least, we want excellent communicators, problem-solvers, people who think on their feet and bring a ‘can-do’ attitude to every situation, those who can be the voice of calm and reassurance to people worried about their pets.
We are also striving to foster a diverse, inclusive, and tightly knit team, thus we welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
About the Role
The first best part about it is that you can work with us from anywhere in the UK or abroad, as long as you hold your UK RVN qualification. It’s a job you can take with you anywhere!
The second best part - you don’t need to be in scrubs, you can do this in your jammies or any comfy outfit, with your own pets around you, sipping your favourite tea or coffee and saving yourself the aggravation of a daily commute.
The phone triage team has two sub-teams so the job comes in two flavours:
- you can either aim for the core team who works Monday to Sunday, doing 180 hours over 6 weeks, thus an average of 30 hours per week,
- or you can apply for the weekend team that works Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, with a contract of 48 hours over 6 weeks, with 8 hours per week on average.
Both teams work shifts of 4 hours (which can be stacked if wished) and are paid £14 per hour, plus rolled-up holiday pay.
The responsibilities are as mentioned above:
- answering phone calls and emails,
- coordinating the mobile vet and hospital teams,
- ensuring an excellent communication with the clients prior to and after their appointments,
- being one of our thoughtful and proactive colleagues.
We provide VDS cover to everyone, from the start, and RCVS fees to our colleagues working over 25 hours per week, from the end of their probation period onwards.
